“Deep, balanced and big-bodied, with semi-sweet chocolate notes that carry into a richly clean finish.” —The Coffee Review

Café Femenino Limited Edition

The story began with 464 women in Northern Peru.

At the first gathering of Women Coffee Producers, a new idea of separating their coffee from the rest of the production started. The women were searching for ideas that would improve the conditions of their lives because the marginalization of women in their rural communities had been growing worse. Their story is a story of strength of spirit, hope for the future, and commitment to creating a better life.  Read Entire Story

The proud and determined pioneers of Café Femenino took important steps toward independence and a better quality of life through coffee. These women knew if they created great coffee without the help of men that they would gain much-needed respect in the remote, rural coffee-growing communities of Peru. Through educational programs and forums, Café Femenino women learned how to become good farmers, growing premium-quality coffee while increasing their confidence, business knowledge, and leadership skills. By supporting women coffee growers, sales of Café Femenino coffee are helping build a sustainable economy that is improving the quality of life for the women, their children, and their communities. As a result of the projects success, The Café Femenino Foundation was created to support programs that enhance the lives of women and their families in coffee-growing communities around the world. Today, more than 1,500 women coffee producers in six countries are improving their lives through the Café Femenino Coffee Project.
